Lieux Perdus, IGP Pays d'OC, France
“Not just another pretty pink rosé, this is Pinot Noir rosé with substance; delicate and dry but with enough substance to keep coming back, glass after glass. Sit back, dig your toes into the sand and forget about life for a while...”
This delicate rosé is made using the classic rosé de presse method combined with the expertise of white wine vinifcation; Pinot Noir grapes are gently pressed to extract the colour without tannin and cool vinified to capture all the delicate aromatics and flavours. To maintain freshness the wine is then bottled under screwcap.
Lieux Perdus translates to ‘Lost Places’…we wanted this wine to express escapism and a feeling of being free-spirited. We commissioned an artist, Timothy Birch, to create the artwork that was able to capture this, and our in-house design team turned it into a label. Grapes are sourced from vineyards near the famous "Bassin de Thau" and the village of Pezenas.
“Light, dry, pretty pink; strawberries aromas lead to a palate packed full of creamy red fruit flavours balanced with a bright, blackurrant finish.”
