After studying oenology in Burgundy Stephane Ogier came back with a knowledge that allows him to hoist his wines among the most beautiful in France.
80% Grenache, 20% Syrah
Full-bodied and filled with cherry fruit, barely contained by supple tannins on the lingering finish. flavors of kirsch, fresh black or white cherries, jammy strawberries, black raspberries, spice, black pepper, cherry griotte, plums and fresh herbs.
Small production, only 7 ha. Old vines and low yield. Hand harvest and berries selection. Maturing 10 months in concrete vat. Good aging potential: 5 to 8 years.
Grenache works well with a diverse array of food. Grenache pairs perfectly with grilled, stewed and braised meats like beef, veal, pork, chicken and of course game. Grenache holds up well to hearty dishes like cassoulet and it’s a good match for less spicy styles of Asian cooking.
